GUNDAM ASTRAY RED FRAME MG 1/100 PART 2

it's been awhile since my last post (I was busy about taking photos and studying) but anyway, these are "SOME" pictures of my gundam astray red frame kai MG 1/100 which I didn't included in my slideshow part 2, I've just included the photos in the slideshow which I think the "best of the best" but these pictures are still awesome in my opinion ^_^
as you can see, I'm trying to pose my gundam astray red frame kai 1/100 MG with its katanas in a dynamic way.

anyway, the cons that I've found about this model kit are the following:
the v fin is very easy to fall off, the shoulders aren't strong enough and I was expecting more that the shoulders could move farther (thanks to the black chest armor which hinders the articulation), then the ankle joints aren't strong enough so perhaps you might add a little bit of superglue to add more friction
anyway despite of all of those cons (there aren't really a big deal and it's easy to fix), I still like this model kit because of the color scheme, the design of the gundam, the articulations are superb, it has a lot of playability and also the katanas (gerbera straight & tiger pierce) are one of the main reasons why I've bought this model kit!

as you can see here the hand doesn't fit in :/

hmm, it seems good but perhaps I can do more dynamic the pose...

I didn't put any special effect about that, it's just came naturally with the help of the sunlight! ;)

now, it's better but somehow I'm not still satisfied, it seems that something is missing hmmm....

ok, now I'm really satisfied ! :D

it looks ok also this pose but I think I can (again) still better...

now it's better! :D

gerbera straight charging up...
full charge! XD

up here!!!XD

the sword which reflects the color of the sky is really cool in my opinion ;D

that's all of the pictures that I would like to share to you guys, and for sure I think that there are still more awesome poses that you can do aside these action poses that I've shared, (just have a lot of imaginations/creativity in your mind). I've just posed this time my gundam astray red frame kai with its katanas because I like more these weapons and they don't create a lot of problems (weight issues)
if you would like to see my gundam astray red frame with its tactical arms IIL well you can go to check on this link:

don't forget guys that the main reason about gundam model kit is about having fun! ;-D
Thanks again for visting my blog and see you next time! ^_^

    1. oh I see, what's the problem about the Perfect grade version? I thought it is also possible because the PG should be more articulated than the master grade 1/100 (I don't have a PG of gundam astray red frame so I'm asking about it XD)
anyway, thanks a lot Winarenda!!! I'm really glad that you like the poses of my gundam astray red frame kai MG 1/100 ^_^

    3. Actually, MG has better articulation than PG. The problem is PG Astray is [borrowing] PG Strike's inner frame, reduced articulation to compensate new armor to slap on.

So yea, I can't copy your poses with PG Astray too. sadly. But! being said, I've decided to get an MG Astray! LOL!

  6. Easy bruv...
Building my first gundam now and it is the red astray kai...he has no legs/hips yet and only one katana but already pretty dope.
Quick question about the shoulders - the joint coming out from the torso to the shoulder only seems to want to be half on meaning I can't fold the shoulder unit all the way into the gap on the torso...should I trim it & force it in or is it right?
Maaaybe this is confusing, here are some pics...

    1. Hello sir, unfortunately that's the problem of the astray mg, the trick is to add a bit of tamiya cement on the peg and let it dry, then after that reassemble again the mg
and thanks a lot for visting my blog and I am also glad that you like my action poses for my red frame! :D

    3. Ah ok - so it does not fold all the way in, thats cool - the poseability is great anyhow so will not look weird I thought it just looked questionable...
Cheers for the reply - I will add some cement to thicken up the peg and hopefully that will make it a tighter fit.
He has hips now - looking forward to having the time to make up his legs and tactical arm.
      Happy hunting!

    4. That's weird, mine went all the way in (referring to the shoulder joint in your post). It is kinda hard to do but it does go all the way in. Just try it, might solve the constant popping of the shoulder joint for you. =))

  9. Nice shots and cool poses! I am amazed on how you pull those dynamic poses with your kits, and not only in this kit, but as well as on your other kits. Keep it up, Bro! I hope that I can use some of the poses as a reference for posing my kit, if it is ok (Thanks in advance).
